If only I could sew (sewing machines hate me. Doesn't matter what I do, how fast or slow I make it go, something always happens)... I like the idea of the posted pattern with the red/white/blue. Great for Memorial Day and 4th of July.

I am so drawn to that checkerboard-style colorblocking. I know it wouldn't fly in public, but it really appeals to me. Maybe I'll have to humor myself by making a doll dress that way....

OMG, it's Nicole Kidman as a candy striper!(Maybe a Cherry Ames movie is in the works? ;-))

Hey, Add me to this list. I'll give 20% off today through Monday 25th. I wasn't even thinking it was Memorial Day. My second grader is having a "snow day" Monday instead of a holiday(?) and I think that threw me off. Use code snowdaySandra ~ Sandritocatwww.sandritocat.etsy.com

Many many sales, so little $$$!I love that Jen is using the term "Decoration Day." Here is Western North Carolina, that term was always used back in the day. I didn't know it was actually Memorial Day until I went to college!

LOVE's Sewing

Love the blog and all things vintage. If you accept awards, I have one for you on my blog.

Jean

The only thing that I'm not liking about this pattern (and a few others that I've seen similar to it) is look at how slouchy the shoulders are!!! Does this have anything to do with the gal feeling weighed down with too much house work... etc....?
