LOVE it! It's really amazing to me how you can imbue inanimate objects with so much personality, but I feel like I can see the whole thing. I am really looking forward to the novel.

Very good story!I had no problem finding the perfect "grandma" dress, but I just couldn't find a dress that looked b**chy enough for Red, but wasn't wrapped around Scarlett O'Hara. :)

DivaJean

This is an early present to all your devoted readers! Thank you!

Here's "Red"-ruffles and not quite a "classy" dress. One that tries too hard and just meets the mark. She might be a tad too orange for your tastes, Erin.http://www.vintageous.com/v3887.htmI am still on the lookout for Faculty, Grandma, and Mini!

Here's a "Red" maybe (http://www.dandelionvintage.com/dv364a.jpg) and perhaps a "Grandma" who wouldn't hold with bullies (http://www.dandelionvintage.com/v264.jpg). What a great story! Thank-you!

NO, you did it! This is the best one yet. I love that this one had a cast of characters and we were also let in on the fact that they can do things besides think. Congrats! Again, still waiting for that book, I will travel for a book signing of this.lisa

here's a mini that might work- the right pattern but no pockets sadly...http://images.etsy.com/all_images/5/528/658/il_fullxfull.6917795.jpg

I also vote for this "fabulous cherry red ruffled ball gown" at vintageous! Kinda looks like one that might have been left at the post...http://www.vintageous.com/dressy.htm

I love this story! Very Lucy Maud Montgomery ;-)

Bettsi

Theresa

The best dress story, yet! Brava! Brava!

Here's my vote for Red:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190184033455&ih=009&category=63861&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1Mint condition, never worn, could be fabulous, but is just missing that something to make it unforgettable.

Lorraine

Wow, it's like junior high all over again! You made Red out to be the quintessential girl-bully. Good goin', Grandma! Thanks for the entertaining tale. It begs for animation.

I want a grandma dress

wow. just.... wow.

Of course, now we need a follow up on how red gets out of the closet never to return! And I love the "favourite shoes" past-time. A little vignette of that would be amusing!
