I'm such a sucker for surplice bodices. And that swag thing in front? *drool* And a good size? Seriously tempted on this one.--Lydia

Plus, SUPERMAN! Or possibly also Batman, depending. :-)

See, I am built like the day dress/telephone pole! I look at all the other dresses and think, "Who in the world is B36 and W24, or even W28???"

Craft/fabric stores are having a sale on patterns (I blame halloween). It wasn't an authentic vintage pattern, but I got a very forties type dress pattern for 3.99. It looks like something Rosie the Riviter would wear on her day off. Needless to say, I am in love with it.

I always had a soft spot for Blue Beetle myself - geeky, no superpowers, sense of humor - he looks like good BF material.Alas, the really cool vintage patterns never fit me. I think it must have only been in the comic books that women had full busts.Remember the movie "Courtship of Eddie's Father", when little Ronnie Howard informed us that in the comic books, only the bad ladies had large busts - the good ladies had regular size busts? Perhaps the pattern makers subscribed to this theory also. Hmmm...
