I love the piquancy and nostalgia of this photo. Erin, how can you tell this is rick-rack? In any event, I think we need more skirts with large rickrack. We're living in such serious times we need the levity of a trim that's outright laughable.

I, on the other hand, am thinking "Damn what I'd do for those kitchen cabinets..."--Lydia

Lydia, I'm thinking that dinette set is probably something fantastic in chrome, formica and vinyl, too.I'm thinking these recycled pictures are a great way to get a Diane Arbus look with paying Diane Arbus prices. Of course, I couldn't go into a room decorated with Diane Arbus-type photos more than once a month, but I'm sensitive.

Lydia, I *have* those cabinets. At least the ones under the sink -- my drawer handles aren't as cool.

I kind of dig the idea of buying other people's old photographs. It seems like something that would lead to a crappy horror movie where all the people from the photographs come to life within your house and then throttle you as you sleep and then every photograph in your house turns into pictures OF YOU!Anyway.I'm loving the skirt, but in my mind it's shades of bright yellow and orange. I don't get the black shirt. In my mind!

Dear Erin:You're obviously witty, charming, talented, most likely you're pretty, *and* you have this style of kitchen cabinet. It's a good thing I like you or I would have to kill you.Love,Lydia
